Our concern is that (by our estimates) 85% of the families on the south
side (approximately)18,000 people eat only every 3rd or 4th day.

Retailers food costs are so high many cannot purchase for market and those
who sell at market have prices most cannot afford...subsequently they too
are hurting and purchasing less. Vicious cycle.

The food we will recieve from UMCOR is intended for those obviously
suffering from starvation and last stages of malnutrition.

We have targeted 16 communnities and hope we will be able to feed
at least 10 famlies per community.

I have been unable to get information from World Vision or
Concern International about their food distribution but others on
the north think it is small, of course.

+Blessings, Pastor Shirley
